BIOTIC V+

It contains bioactive metabolites that promote the growth of the beneficial vulvovaginal microbiota, and seek to maintain the pH at its optimal point, in order to prevent the growth of microorganisms that cause infections, simulating what happens at a physiological level. BioticV+ was tested at the Société Générale de Surveillance (SGS), following the US Pharmacopeia protocol. The results obtained demonstrate that the BioticV+ complex has an antimicrobial efficacy greater than 99.9% against the most prevalent microorganisms in infections.

LACTIC ACID

Lactic acid plays a primary role in maintaining vaginal health. This molecule is responsible for the pH of the intimate area being approximately 3.8 -4.5, that is, acidic, which creates adverse conditions for the growth of pathogens, such as Candida Albicans or Gardnerella vaginalis.

D-PANTHENOL

Panthenol (provitamin B5) is soothing, relieving sensations of itching, irritation and redness. It is also restorative: it promotes skin regeneration processes (cell proliferation), helping to repair the skin's natural barrier function and, therefore, reduce its water loss.

HYDROLYZED SILK PROTEIN

Moisturizes, softens and gives firmness to the skin by helping cell regeneration of the epidermis.

ALOE VERA

MODE OF USE

Apply at least two splashes on the vulva (female external genitalia: Monte de Venus, external and internal lips, clitoris, folds, perineal area and introitus). Recommended for daily use after showering, before and after doing physical activity and/or having intimate relationships. It is recommended to carry it in your purse to always have it at hand.
It is ideal to use it as the second step of Biolube's daily intimate care routine, after showering. You can let it absorb a few seconds before step 3 (V Queen Intimate Moisturizing Serum) or use it multiple times a day to stay comfortable and fresh all day.

STEP 1

In the shower, use Biolube V Happy Everyday moisturizing intimate cleansing lotion daily to clean the vulva without damaging it, maintaining its optimal pH and strengthening natural defenses. A moderate amount of product (almond size) is applied and spread by gently massaging the entire vulva - external area - external and internal lips, clitoris, urethra, folds, perineal area, vaginal opening. Then rinse with plenty of water.

Why do I need a specific cleansing lotion for the intimate area?

Using an intimate cleansing soap with an inappropriate pH can alter the balance of the beneficial bacteria that protect the vulvovaginal area. Unlike the skin on the rest of the body, the skin in the intimate area has a pH below 4.5. Furthermore, the intimate area is an area that generates fluids, sweat, flow, secretions subject to hormonal fluctuations, etc. and that generally does not breathe and remains covered, occluded, in constant friction and without ventilation. This is why it is very important to choose a good ally when it comes to cleansing the vulvovaginal area.

Is vaginal discharge normal?

Yes, vaginal discharge is totally normal and we all have it. It can vary during different hormonal stages and within the menstrual cycle in terms of texture. If the discharge changes to a stronger color and is accompanied by a very intense odor, it could be indicating an infection. In these cases it is advisable to visit the gynecologist. What is vaginal flora?

The vaginal flora is made up of a population of microorganisms. When in balance, “good” bacteria (mainly Lactobacilli) predominate over “bad” bacteria. This causes the vaginal pH to remain between 3.8 and 4.5. However, alterations in this balance can occur that cause bad bacteria to proliferate, generating a vulvovaginal infection. When there are vulvovaginal infections, the pH can change, reaching 6.0 or more. Therefore, it is important to maintain the appropriate pH to avoid the overgrowth of pathogenic bacteria. Our products are specifically formulated with an approximate pH of 4.5 to maintain the balance of the vaginal microbiota.

Are Biolube products safe to use during pregnancy?

For this delicate part of our body, we only choose to formulate with safe ingredients, without hormones, sulfates, alcohols or parabens. Since every woman is different and pregnancy increases sensitivity, always consult your doctor before using any product during pregnancy.
